No. 11 | The Art of Creation is a Physical Act

The art of creation is very much a physical act.

The urge to create surges through the human body and is born into the world transferred through and to a particular medium.

The science behind the urge to create and the electrical signals throughout the body are measurable.

Having an idea is sometimes referred to as a lightbulb moment.

Historically, creative inspiration was seen as being touched by God or depicted as literally being illuminated.

Rick Rubin's book The Creative Act: A Way of Being approaches this from a spiritual and personal standpoint, and, of course, the debate around what is art in the age of AI. A longstanding question really, what is art?

As a quiet reflection and through a long-standing belief that creativity and creative expression is inate and accessible to us all.
